Thursday afternoon

Another beautiful day here in the big smoke. 28 degrees no wind and high humidity to make it feel closer to 37. A little warm for my liking but I'll take it!

We have had some great storms in the last few months, and none greater than the storm on August 9th. There was actually a Tornado watch for the city of Toronto for a few hours, which is always a bad sign. A massive black cloud moved over the city, much like a UFO would in some creepy sci-fi movie. Even though it was only 7pm, the city was as black as the cloud itself. I was driving back from Niagara Falls with my sister and a friend when it all started. We missed the worst of it, being 120 kilometers away from Toronto and all, but the storm certainly did not disappoint. We left a very muggy Falls area around 830, as the temperature sore to 42 uncomfortable degrees. I had received a text message from my friend Grant who warned us of the storm, and urging caution on the drive home. Grant said it was the worst storm he has witnessed since arriving in the city over three years ago. I could see the lightning in the distance as we started to drive away. We did have to stop for a while due to the intense rain, it was just to much. Cars were doing 20k on the highway with their four way flashers on. But after a brief stop we managed to get home safe and sound. Lightning lit up the sky the whole way home. It was pretty awesome to watch.

School starts in three days. I went out and purchased school supplies today. I felt like I was in grade 8, only Mom didn't pay this time.

I'm really going to make an effort to go and hang out at 'Comedy Bar' up the road on Bloor street more often. I am hoping to meet new friends at school that would like to join me. It is much easier going with friends rather than yourself to a place like that.

It is awkward to sit by yourself everywhere you go.

Kelsey was in town for three days. We had a good time. Niagara Falls was awesome. It was our first time seeing them. We rode the 'maid of the mist' boat that runs along side the falls. It was awesome. Maid of the Mist for life.

The night before, Kelsey and I got super wasted. We had planned to have a few drinks and relax, but after a few hours of that, I was wasted! We polished off a 26 of Vodka and went to The Drake Hotel where Grant works. I got about 10 steps on to the roof top patio before I tripped over something, fell over and knocked down two chairs while I did it. Grant said it was the best entrance ever. I'm proud.

Really not much else to report.

Just waiting for school to start.

I miss you all.
