Oh Boy

Hello all.

It has been far to long. My apologizes about that. A lot has happened....

Whatcha want me to do, tell you about it? Well, ok.

Level C Improv at Second City is going very well. Our last class is next Tuesday, and Level D is starting March 7th. I am already registered. Our class did an improv show on Wednesday Feburary 3rd. This was my first improv show with Second City and first improv show in 4 or 5 years. It felt pretty awesome to be back up stage with the lights blinding me. The show was very basic, as we played 5 games at 4 minutes each in length. Our teacher selected who would be in each game before hand. There were 13 of us all together, we only got to play in two games.

My first game is called Dr. Know It All. It involves 4 people. 3 people, including me, play the doctor and sit together center stage. The idea of the game for the doctor is to answer questions about a certain profession. The other dude on stage asks the audience for two things. One, an insect. We get Caterpillar. Two, a subject somebody would study at university. We get Frog. Haha, it was pretty funny because some dude yelled out FROG so loud so quick that we just HAD to use it. So we are the Dr. Know It All that answers questions about Frogs and Caterpillars. One problem, each person has to talk one word at a time, and we have to work together to make proper sentences and shit. Pretty much we just try and make sense. It went pretty well. I think it was funny because I always project my voice and play up the role on stage, but the other two people I was with didnt really do that, so it was kinda like this. Every time I speak its in CAPS and I was the first to speak.

Dr, tell me about your studies with the Caterpillars and the Frog.

WELL

AMAZING.

Stunning work Doctor, thank you. Lets take a question from the audience!

You get the idea.

The Second game was basic matching game.

One person would go on stage with a strong character. They would be really happy, sad, mad or glad. Doesnt matter what it is, as long as you have something going on. The second person comes on and tries to match and mimic that exact character. The trick is to keep the scene moving forward while trying to do it. Its tricky at times, but we pulled it off.

I should have another show coming up with level D sometime early April.

So School is good.

Work is also good. The place is just crazy busy. On Valentines Day, we had 300 reservations for Two. 300 deuces in the books. Thats pretty cras*.

* Crazy

OK>>>

So I am sure you all have some questions for me since I have been gone for so long. Feel free to leave a comment below and Ill get back to you. Until then, hear are some of the FAQ I have been getting.

Q: Brad, where are you living these days? Hotel? apartment? Dumpster?

A: Does that count as four questions? Just sayin. I am still living at Grants place at 1155 Davenport road near Ossington. Just above the barber shop. In two weeks time Our friend Matt will be moving out and I will be moving in upstairs into his room. Matt is also going to sell me his bed and dresser for a cheap price!(HJ) Matt got a contract up north for 4 months and then plans to move in with his lady friend. Good luck Matt. I love you.

Q: Did you just admit to being a homo?

A: Next question.

Q: Any crazy ideas about moving away after your first year of Second City?

A: Yes. My first year should be ending in July. There are talks about a move. Now, this involves a lot of factors. I will have to talk about them later.

God speed.
